Sweet Beef Brisket and Caramelized Onions brown sugar brisket

Ingredients:
🍖 2 lbs. Beef Brisket
🍖 4 tbsp oil (1 tbsp for the brisket sear/ 3 tbsp for the onions)
🍖 2 bay leaves (not a must)
🍖 10 peppercorns (not a must)
🍖 4-5 medium onions sliced
🍖 1/4 cup brown sugar / honey
🍖 2 garlic cloves
🍖 Salt & pepper

Directions:
🍖In a large pan sear the brisket on both sides with some oil, a minute on each side.
Add water to the pan. Cover the brisket completely, add 2 bay leaves and some peppercorns to the water.
The brisket will cook covered on medium low heat for about 2 hours.
Pay attention to the water in the pot, it can evaporate, the brisket needs to be covered with water until its ready, we will use some this water as a stock, do not throw away yet.
Brisket is ready when a knife easily goes through it.
🍖In a separate pan caramelize the onions with some oil on medium heat, keep stirring, when the onions look cooked and brown add the brown sugar, garlic, salt & pepper.
Add onions onto an oven safe pan, place the brisket on top, add about a cup stock from the brisket into the pan.
Bake another hour covered.
